CARBON CONSCIOUS: Sustainable
Design significantly reduces embodied and operational carbon in materials, equipment, and power from day one fully aligned with the iMasons Climate Accord.
About Us
Terra is a digital infrastructure developer delivering a groundbreaking data center reference architecture serving AI training & inference responsibly, sustainably, and in harmony with the communities where it resides.
Terra is addressing the markets biggest challenges - time to power and future proof designs that can accommodate any rack of any density at any time. The flagship project is an AI factory in the heart of Silicon Valley. The Bay Area is a strategic data center market with a severe shortage of new capacity due to utility power delivery delays of 5+ years. Terra’s flagship Bay Area project is the fastest path to hyperscale capacity, delivering their cutting edge data center within two years that aligns with market pricing on rent and power. This site will also include a state of the art Exeecutive Briefing Center and Innovation Lab to immerse enterprise customers in the latest advances in AI hardware and software solutions.
The Terra reference architecture in Silicon Valley is the largest off-grid data center in the market powered on-site by Bloom fuel cells with integrated super-capacitors delivering 800 VDC power direct to AI racks exceeding 1MW. Closed-loop cooling and heat recovery design powering absorption chillers, enables a 1.06 design PUE and 99.999% reliability without requiring UPS or generators. Bloom fuel cells produce half the amount of CO2 of a typical power plant while reducing 97.7% of NOx and 100% of SOx emissions and reducing noise to less than 70 dBA. Phase II reserves space for a grid tie and BESS system providing up to 50% of generated capacity back to the utility lowering the effective $/kWh for tenants and providing economic benefits to the city and residents while helping to stabilize the local grid.
The Terra reference architecture is one of the most advanced in the world, derisking future AI hardware deployments and workloads while reducing time to power and significantly reducing embodied and operational carbon in materials, equipment, and power. It can be deployed in any market in the world.
